Things To Improve

I have a number of improvements in the works for Run Hundred. But, I’m sure there are loads of things I haven’t considered at all. So, if you have feedback, I’d definitely be interested to hear it.

For what it’s worth, I won’t be taking requests for specific songs until most of the other changes are in place. But if you have general suggestions regarding the site’s structure, features, navigation–things that drive you crazy, things you wish the site could help you do–please fill me in.

Run Hundred is a log of popular workout music.

My name's Chris Lawhorn.

I write about music for Marie Claire & Real Age.

Each month, I end up listening to hundreds of new songs.

I created Run Hundred to keep track of the ones to which I thought folks could work out.

My hunches aren't always perfect. So, you can vote on all of them, and let me know where I've missed the mark.

If you have any other feedback, you can shoot me a note.

A BPM App for your Ipod/Iphone

Here's a new app that allows you to determine the BPMs of songs already on your Ipod or Iphone.

Moreover, once they're calculated, you can use the app to quickly sort your library--and find songs that match your current pace.

A Steal For Fans Of Techno Workout Music

There's a glut of electronic/dance albums targeting the workout market. A good portion of them consist of generic techno by studio musicians.

But I found a couple on Emusic that feature non-stop mixes and tracks by folks like Danny Tenaglia, Fatboy Slim, Todd Terry, and Ferry Corsten.

Better yet, you can get both albums on one of Emusic's free trials.
